In hooch were 3 booby trap devices, 2 GI helmets liners, 1 GI helmet, misc other equipment. Element believes hooch to be mess hall. Last use 24 hours: will mech area. 7 well used trails leading to and from hooch.

To Bde/Schuman by CT: 1/Delta Company at grid 215007 at 1905 hrs had 2 NVA KIA in mech. CIA 2 AK-47's, 1 ruck, 2 VC ponchos, negative ID, letter to Hanoi. Military age males wearing green uniforms. VC were traveling West on East -West trail.

Hooches were on EastWest trail. There was a fire in the kitchen. CIA: 1 NVA ruck, 1 GI canteen, 1 pair of blue and 1 pair black clothing, 1 M14 ammo pouch, 1 Ho Chi Minh commentary, 3 1 gal cans of corn and 1 bottle of malaria pills.

To Bde/Murata by RR: at 1130 hrs at Pro tower guard spotted 3 VC/NVA w/rucks. Engaged w/ 50 cal and 105 mm. RS bird checked area and received fire from grid 162072. Bird returned fire and came back to Pro to check for hits. At 1220 radar picked up at least 2 persons at grid 161071 and mortars were fired. Radar failed to detect any further movement....Delta Company will check out area.

To Bde/Lawson by Me: at 1510 hrs at grid 230089 Minuteman 24 spotted 1 VC, checked w/friendlies in area for clearance and engaged VC. VC jumped into spider hole after being engaged and appeared to be a KIA....Bravo Company will checkout area.
