At 311700 the 3-1 Co A was destroying hooches using M-79 from about 30 meters line. Line # 68 Berries, Latore A. caught a piece of shrapnel in the left part of his neck.

Co D 2-2 at time 1535 at grid 610435 observed two VC on a hilltop. They were working on something near a bush. When fired on by Arty at 031542 they evaded to the east into the wood line.They were wearing black pj's with the pants rolled up to the knees. The unit saw no packs or weapons.The element observed no effects from the Arty.

Late entry: Wieczorek, Phillip was extracted From field to Duc Pho. He had a fever of 102.4 with stomach cramps. Mess -age was sent to S1/Vestal to return man to SJH. Wieczorek, Phillip is from A Co 2-2.
