At 1200 hrs. C&C ship at grid coordinate AT910219, observed and engaged with 2 VC that were evading to the West, and wearing black pj's . No equipment or weapons were found. Results; 2 VC KIA.

C&C at grid coordinate AT911211 ship engaged 1 VC carrying a machete. VC evaded into a tunnel. C&C ship went down and personnel in aircraft threw a hand grenade into a tunnel resulting in 1 VC KIA.

Charlie Company's 1st platoon, at grid coordinate AT907251, found 1 wounded NVA in a hooch, age 35. Individual has 2-3 day old bullet wounds in his leg & wrist; he was wearing green fatigue trousers. Individual was being treated by a women. NVA states that there were a unknown # of NVA in the area a few days ago.

Delta Company 5/46 Infantry reports observing VC crossing a river at the grid coordinate  of AT933198. (number of VC:6). Air strike was being conducted at grid coordinate AT923193 at time of sighting. Results; 4 enemy hooches destroyed & enemy personnel losses are unknown at this time.

At 1450 hrs. Charlie Company at grid coordinate AT903258, found a tunnel that resembles a jail. Tunnel was on a slope of a hill; approx 20 feet deep & 5 feet wide & 5 feet high w/bamboo bars at the entrance.

Charlie Company's  3rd platoon reported search of perimeter turned up several dud chicom grenades. Also, last night a rocket (type unknown) hit the observation tower, bounced off, and exploded. Tower damaged slightly. More to follow.

Charlie Company's 3rd platoon found the follow items on search of OP 10 perimeter; 7 chicom grenades (dud), 6 60mm mortar rounds (dud), 2 B-40 rockets (dud), 2 Grass Pack Charges); also found 1 60mm mortar charge outside of perimeter & blood trails leading away from OP at azimuth 120 degrees.

Echo Company 26 Engineers reported that Bunker # 13 received 3 satchel charges last night. Observed and engaged 6 VC , and today in sweep of area found 6 chicom grenades, 5  82mm mortar rounds (dud), & several blood trails.

Delta Company 26 Engineer found enemy losses at grid coordinate BT443078; 5 VC KIA (in defensive wire); 1 60mm mortar, complete serial # 10869; 1 AK-47  w/serial #11049263; 1 9mm machine gun w/serial # 374; 25-30 chicom homemade hand grenades.

Delta Company 26 Engineers found the following in defensive wire around Fat City in the vicinity of grid BT443078; 1 VC KIA, 3 chicom grenades.                                                                    1125                                                                                              Reference item #'s 32 & 35, 6 VC KIA were killed by 81mm mortar fire from Fat City. Found 1 60mm mortar round under enemy's body.....destroyed round.

Resupply helicopter crashed into minefield in the vicinity of grid BT325181 w/ 8 personnel aboard. Negative injuries to personnel. Dust off helicopter w/hoist will extract personnel. Cause of crash is unknown.

At 1745 hrs. Recon requested a priority dust off for 1 US w/ gunshot wound in the hand, 2 fingers that were nearly severed. Individual shot himself while leaning on a M79 GL. Dust off completed at 1752 hrs.

Break contact with enemy if necessary to close to a PZ.
